Playing Ep 01

Summary:

After the Shaolin Temple monks completed their westward journey, they were appointed by Kangxi to escort the surrendered General Wan Shou Shan and Princess Bing Yu back to the capital. However, the minority within Xilu Tianhui who opposed the peace believed that the surrender of Wan Shou Shan to the Qing Dynasty was a shame for the anti-Qing camp. Because the prince was afraid that the monk's visit to Beijing would expose his monopoly on the Ming Dynasty's treasures, he also tried every means to kill the monks. The two parties sent various martial arts masters to set up checkpoints along the way and to intercept the monks and Wan Shou Shan in order to eliminate them. The monks faced difficulties at all levels, defeated masters from all walks of life, and even sacrificed their lives to protect Wan Shou Shan to meet Emperor Kang Xi.
