The royal machinations and vengeance-driven side plots are a dizzying carousel of senseless brutality and convoluted schemes. Characters once integral now behave nonsensically or are pushed to the fringes while the story is hijacked by a procession of detestable figures whose actions verge on pantomime villainy. This tumultuous period in the narrative feels less like a coherent progression and more a deliberate attempt to evoke frustration, an unfortunate detour from the show's promising start.
  
  The series, apparently resonating with audiences overseas, proves an enigma. The fascination with palace politics, however torturous, may be a cultural palate I can't acquire. As for recommendations, I must abstain. The protagonist’s journey is dwarfed by the overarching theme of aristocratic upheaval. The denouement, attempting to dress wounds with a quick stitch of niceties, hardly justifies the preceding turmoil.
