In the mystical realm of Yan Shan, two prestigious academies stand as pillars of education and cultivation: one renowned for its pair of male scholars and the other, the Bai Hua School, celebrated for its duo of female protegees. Despite existing side by side, the schools are distanced by archaic, stringent codes of conduct that inhibit any form of intermingling.

However, the youthful spirit knows no bounds, and the innate longing for romantic connection begins to blossom. Amidst laughter and lighthearted moments, the students navigate an enchanting dance of emotions and encounters. As this narrative, inspired by a beloved manhua, unfolds, the characters experience a whirlwind of comedic and heartfelt events that test the limits of tradition against the irrepressible tide of young love.

Surprisingly, this series turned out to be a pleasant watch! Despite initial reservations due to negative reviews, it wasn't as bad as anticipated. Initially drawn in by the character Alen Fang, I found myself investing more time into the show than expected. The plot revolves around ancient sects feuding for centuries, hoping for a resolution with the emergence of new leadership. While the story might not be groundbreaking, it captures intrigue nonetheless.

Although the series started off lacking in humor, it gradually improved, delivering some genuinely...

funny moments. The romantic subplot, although not the primary focus, showcased strong chemistry between Xing Mu and Qing Qiu, with their relationship evolving beautifully as the series progressed. Even the side couple, Yu Lang and Ling Long, managed to evoke interest and likability.

Not without its flaws, the series had some irksome characters like Wei Qi and Yi Xin, whose impulsiveness grated on my nerves. However, these shortcomings didn't completely overshadow the overall enjoyment. The grand master's appearances left me speechless, in a way that was both unexpected and intriguing.

As the series reached its conclusion, I found myself skipping certain characters' scenes without feeling like I had missed crucial plot points. The character development throughout the show was commendable, and the fight sequences were executed well. Additionally, the costumes added to the visual appeal of the series.

In conclusion, while not flawless, this series offers an enjoyable viewing experience. It serves as a decent option for those seeking light entertainment. Give it a chance if you're looking for something easygoing to watch.

Oh boy, where do I even begin with this series? I tuned in to catch Alen's performance, but by the time I reached the episode, I was truly conflicted. Despite the occasional bursts of comedy that kept me entertained, the overall storyline felt like a disastrous collision. The so-called third generation warriors of the Yan Shan sect were lacking in the brain department, leaving me puzzled as to how they managed to train apprentices in the first place. Surprisingly, it turns out that their apprentices...

have more sense than they do. Even the Grand Master seemed to be constantly facepalming at their antics. While I have a vague idea of where the plot might be heading in future episodes, the thought of enduring the journey seems unbearable. Disappointingly, despite being top billed, Alen's presence was not as prominent as I had hoped for. It pains me to have to bid adieu to this series, especially considering my initial excitement. Farewell, Alen, but this show just isn't for me.
