This captivating drama had me hooked from the start! While it does include the usual predictable relationship drama, there was something special about this series that I couldn't get enough of. The chemistry between Rosina Lam and Kalok Chow was unexpectedly endearing, and even David Chiang's transition from his Al Cappuccino persona to a father figure brought a refreshing and light-hearted element to the storyline.
The animal actors were a standout feature in the show. Despite the common industry advice against giving dialogue to young children...and animals, the furry cast members shone, especially the golden retriever. The idea of animals conversing across different species while humans struggled with language barriers was both amusing and thought-provoking.
The peculiar dubbing added another layer of humor, with the animals mysteriously communicating telepathically without moving their mouths. The juxtaposition of the golden retriever's childlike innocence with its unexpectedly profound poetry was both comical and charming. The show's self-awareness of its absurdity only added to its entertainment value.
I highly recommend this series for its delightful silliness and its ability to fully embrace its own quirky nature.
