Summary:

A skilled executioner named Yip Sheung-luk finds himself constantly immersed in bloodshed. To ensure the safety of Yuen So-sam, the pregnant daughter-in-law of his savior, Sheung-luk sends her to the capital to stay with renowned midwife Fa Yui-hung.

However, a series of unusual murders occurs, and Sheung-luk becomes the savior of a young life using his blade. Unfortunately, this baby boy's mysterious origins land both Sheung-luk and Yui-hung in deep trouble with the imperial court. Together, they navigate the challenges thrown their way and form an unlikely bond.

Meanwhile, a young couple named Chek Tsz-chau and Chuk Siu-moon, who have spent most of their lives in a brothel, unexpectedly arrive at Yui-hung's home. Siu-moon pleads with Sheung-luk to accept Tsz-chau as his apprentice. However, Tsz-chau, who is impulsive and seeking to escape punishment, has different plans.

Everything changes when a mysterious magician named Szema Chau enters the picture. As the true identity of the baby boy is revealed, everyone's lives are put at risk, inching closer to their own demise.
